                                    Updated April 2012

This is a shortened version of a video that was made for my Critical Pedagogy I class Fall of 2011
Conductor and singer Kathleen Friedman hails from the sunny state of California, where she first discovered her love of music at Moorpark Community College under the direction of Professor Vail Keck. It was her mentorship that has led Kathleen, or "Kaylee" as she is better known, to pursue her dreams at Westminster Choir College of Rider University. She is currently working towards a Bachelor of Music in both Music Education and Vocal Performance. While she hopes to live a full life on the stage, she also hopes to influence and inspire students in the choral classroom. An avid yogi and an advocate of personal growth, Kaylee tries to bring a sense of spirituality and introspection to her performances, as well as a strong sense of compassion and understanding to her work in the classroom. Her outspoken wit, loving heart, and her ability to be vulnerable all make Kaylee a versatile artist with a bright future in performance, as well as teaching.
